Should I repair or replace my concrete?
It depends on the damage. Small, stable cracks can often be repaired. Sinking, heaving, or widespread cracking usually means the base has failed, and replacement lasts longer. We'll tell you which after we see it.
Do I need a permit for a driveway in Joliet?
Yes. The City of Joliet requires a permit and an accurate plat of survey to install or replace a driveway, driveway apron, sidewalk, or patio, even when the new one matches the old size and location. Other towns set their own rules.

When can I walk or drive on new concrete?
You can walk on it well before you can drive on it, and we'll give you exact timing for your pour. Concrete keeps gaining strength for weeks and reaches its design strength at about 28 days.
Can I use salt on new concrete?
Go easy the first winter. New concrete is most vulnerable to deicing salts, so shovel early and use sand for traction.
Why does concrete crack?
Concrete shrinks as it cures and moves with freezing and thawing, so some cracking is normal. Control joints give those cracks a planned place to go.
Can you pour a garage slab for epoxy?
Yes. We can pour or repair the slab and finish it in epoxy, with the same crew.
